upper west side apartment
After 30 years in the same apartment, an artist and her husband decided to renovate their three bedroom unit. The main objective was to optimize views of the Hudson River from this river front apartment, as well as create openness between the kitchen and main living areas and provide a painting studio. The owners of this pre-war co-op apartment wanted a minimalistic modern design that would be a back drop to their collection of art and unique collectibles. The combined living/dining space has expansive views which resulted in the raised platform at their dining area to maximize their views of the river while dining.
